For my podcast assignment, I decided to record a Blitz BIPOC Book review. I started by writing myself a script to follow. After several recordings, I managed to choose one where the volume wasn't too loud/quiet, or one that fluctuated between the two. Even though I used a separate microphone to do the recording, I found I had to play around with how far I placed the mic away from myself.
After being satisfied with the recording, I started looking for royalty free podcast music that enabled permission for me to use and distribute the sound effects. I really enjoyed playing with some of the fade in/fade out tools and am quite proud of myself for figuring it out. This was probably my favorite part of recording the podcast.
I am really glad I had the opportunity to record a podcast. We are in the process of creating an audio studio for students to create podcasts, record, etc.. Having this experience will help me support the learners in the learning commons.
I was unable to embed my podcast into my blog; however, you should be able to access it here.
Please let me know if you have any trouble accessing/hearing it. Thank you for your feedback.
